Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note to say thanks to everyone who helped out to make our pursuit race and BBQ such a success last Sunday.

Thanks to Kathryn Cormican, Nigel Collins, Aoife Cooke and Pascal (Clifden Boat Club) for volunteering to man the safety boats. Dan King for volunteering his rib and services as a skipper for the committee boat. Keith O’Hara for organising registration and start times for the event, for organizing the food and for pushing me not to roll the event over as it clashed with the IWA Windsurfing Event in Belmullet. Kevin Finn and Lilly for helping with registration and food. Chris McGrath for organising and collecting refreshments and helping out with the food. Alex Roe for manning the barbeque last minute. Nancy Roe, Micheál and Colm O Faharta and Kevin Finn for working to get the toilets and running water up and running for the event. John Hendley for his usual excellent work on setting up the booking links and publicising the event. Eddie Florisson for running the beach. Colm and Alex for staying behind to help retrieve and pack away all the safety and support boats and anybody else who helped tidy up down at the club house after the event.

And last but not least thanks to all of you who turned up and participated. I know the wind didn’t play ball but it was a glorious Autumn day and I hope everyone enjoyed it.

If I have left anyone out apologies, but your efforts are appreciated.

Regards
Martin Roe
