It is our intention to run a dinghy race series over the remaining Thursdays of the summer.

Practice Session This Thursday
This Thursday’s sailing session will be a practice evening in preparation for the dinghy race series. An opportunity to hone your skills, ask questions, get race ready for the series and, of course, have some sailing fun on the bay.

Boats Available
We have 9 Topaz and 3 420 dinghies available – plus members may be looking for crew for their dinghies.

If you are using your own dinghy please remember you need to have it insured as per item 14 of the club constitution.

Who Can Race?
Getting involved in the Sunset Sessions is easy – The race series is open to members and friends (on a try before you buy basis).

If you are a friend of the club and are interested in getting involved, non membership is not a barrier to you joining in the fun. According to item 8 of our constitution: “Temporary Members: Persons (not members) taking part in any event organized by the Club will be deemed temporary members for the duration of the event only and must abide by the rules of the Club and any other rules as set out in the notice of the event”.  So no excuses, you can try before you buy, and if you want more racing fun club membership is very reasonably priced.

If you have a touch of the organiser about you and would like to help run the race series please contact us.

Starting Time
Please arrive as close to 6pm as possible so we can get out on the water as early as possible.
