Galway City Sailing Club Holding Two Events In Galway Sea Festival
Galway City Sailing Club is taking an active part in the first Galway Sea Festival by holding two festival events, a Dinghy Race on the River Corrib and a Dinghy Cruise on Galway Bay.
Dinghy Race – Saturday 1 June 2013
Galway City Sailing Club is running a members sailing dinghy race on the River Corrib on Saturday June 1 at 11:00.
This is a free event, viewing is from Nimmo’s Pier, Claddagh & Long Walk. Members are urged to meet from 9.30am in preparation for 11am race start.

Dinghy Cruise From Docks To Blackrock – Sunday 2 June 2013
Galway City Sailing Club is running a members dinghy cruise on Galway Bay from Galway Docks to Blackrock, Salthill on Sunday June 2 at 14:00.
This is a free event, viewing is from South Park & Salthill Prom. Members are urged to meet from 12:30 in preparation for 14:00 cruise start.

About The Galway Sea Festival
The first ever Galway Sea Festival will take place on the June Bank Holiday Weekend – from Friday 31st May to Monday 3rd June 2013. Celebrating Galway’s unique maritime history and culture, beautiful bay and wonderful waterways, this new festival aims to promote Galway as Ireland’s leading Maritime centre to local, national and international visitors alike.
The four-day family-friendly event will include an extensive mix of marine related and fun activities including many unique and participative On-the-Water, On-Shore, On-Deck and About-Town events – many events will be free, all others will be designed to be affordable for families and together they will offer an all-encompassing experience of Galway’s superb coastal environment and waterways.
