Notice Of Annual General Meeting 2016

Galway City Sailing Club Annual General Meeting, Wednesday, February 10th in the Harbour Hotel at 19:30.

Members and friends are all invited and encouraged to attend to set the foundations for another good year of sailing in the city and the further development of the club. This may be followed by a social gathering in the hotel’s bar.

Please note motions for inclusion at the meeting should be submitted to me by Saturday, January 23rd. Also, nominations are invited for all the Honorary Officers and committee members – nominations for these posts can be sent to me beforehand or can be taken at the AGM and it would be great if you could put yourself forward – the earlier the better – don’t be shy! – the more people volunteer the easier it is for everybody – ‘friends’ are especially invited to take the plunge and join us – you don’t have to go sailing! The job descriptions for the officers are in the constitution and are not demanding if every office is filled – there is always lots of help from the committee and the members. Please note that any changes to the constitution can only be made at the AGM; so members please read it and see if you think anything should be changed – if so, submit a motion to do so.

Looking forward to seeing as many of you there as possible. We achieved a lot in 2015 – lets make 2016 even better!
