Join the Spring School Team Racing Programme at Galway City Sailing Club!
Our Spring School Team Racing Programme offers an exciting opportunity for students to enhance their sailing skills in a team environment. Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or have some racing experience, join us for an enriching experience on the water.
Participants will engage in team racing exercises aimed at improving boat handling, deepening understanding of racing rules and fostering camaraderie among teammates. Our programme sets the stage for the Schools Team Racing Competition and Connacht Team Racing League, providing valuable preparation for these competitive sailing events.
Eligibility: Open to students currently enrolled in secondary level institutions with sailing and racing experience. Both members and non-members are welcome.
Dates: Commencing Saturday, March 16, 2024, for six sessions over six weekends. Please note, weekends may not be consecutive due to weather and club event scheduling.
Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Galway City Sailing Club – Sailing Off Renmore Point & Hare Island
Cost: €110 for club members, €130 for non-members
No Team Racing Experience Required
Don’t worry if you’re new to team racing, as no prior knowledge or experience is necessary. Our Schools Team Racing Programme is designed to accommodate individuals with varying levels of expertise, from those with some racing experience to those eager to dip their toes into the exciting world of competitive sailing.
